Ryan Swirsky, a principal at the firm, is a member of GKG Law’s Business Aviation Group. Ryan concentrates his work on aircraft transactions and matters related to ownership and operation of business aircraft. Specifically, Ryan focuses on aircraft acquisitions and sales, aircraft ownership and operating structures, federal income tax planning and personal use of corporate aircraft, federal excise tax, state sales and use tax, acquisition financing, aircraft management arrangements, and regulatory compliance. He has authored multiple articles on these topics and has participated in webinars attended by industry leaders.

Ryan graduated from Elon University in 2015 (B.S.B.A., cum laude) and received his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2018 (J.D., magna cum laude). He has also taken a range of advanced taxation legal courses at Georgetown Law. During law school, Ryan worked at the Business Law Clinic, which provides pro bono legal services for small businesses and start-ups, served as a Corporate Counsel Extern with The Coca-Cola Company, and was a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Corporations and in Legal Research and Writing.

During summers, Ryan interned in a non-legal capacity for various aviation industry companies, including a top-tier aircraft management company, aircraft brokerage firm and block charter service provider.
